With version 25.2, XRTwin introduces new ways to observe, replay, and collaborate in virtual reality. This release also brings a refined licensing structure to better align with your needs, whether you’re exploring, training, or deploying enterprise-scale simulations.
👀 New Third-Person View
See the action from a new angle! This is one of the most requested features from our users, and it’s finally here!
The Third-Person View lets desktop users follow a VR participant from an external camera perspective. Perfect for collaborative reviews, training supervision, or public demos, this feature offers a comfortable and dynamic way to observe immersive sessions without wearing a headset.
Follow the VR user in real time
Highlight specific objects visible to both desktop and VR users
Quickly refocus on the user with a simple click (Focus Mode)
🕶️ Replay Mode in VR
Revisit your sessions, directly in VR.
The new Replay Mode allows users to step back into recorded sessions at true 1:1 scale, for immersive analysis and debriefing. Whether for training, ergonomics evaluation, or simulation review, you can now relive every detail inside the same virtual environment.
💼 Feature-Based Licensing
Starting with version 25.2, XRTwin’s capabilities are now organized by licensing tiers, allowing you to choose the plan that best matches your workflow and budget.
Viewer: Visualization and immersive reviews
Premium: Physics-based simulation, interaction, and training
Enterprise: Multi-user sessions, ergonomics, haptics, and floating licenses
Each license dynamically unlocks features such as physics, web services, or haptic devices, giving you the freedom to scale as your project grows.
⚙️ Enhancements and Performance Improvements
VR Mirror View: Wider field of view for improved desktop visualization
Precision Editing: snap movements and rotations for precise scene adjustments
Performance: Deletion of large entities (>10,000 objects) is now drastically faster
Editor & Devices: Updated mesh combiner, improved hierarchy refresh, and enhanced support for devices like SpaceMouse and haptic arms
